Pico Union Housing Corp. was asked to participate in the largest Central American independence parade held in Los Angeles. Volunteers and employees got together to build a float in a short time notice. We built a tropical float that held the COFECA parade queen, as well as previous years queens, and our first very own Miss Pico Union. The theme this year was “Nuestro Voto Nuestro Futuro/ Our Vote Our Future”. Thousands of people filled the streets down Pico and Alvarado to dance and show off their culture and pride.
